Recently CBC announced the Fall Season line up. Murdoch Mysteries is new to the channel and I'm sure we shall all forever be grateful that they decided to pick up the show when CityTV decided the drop it after the fifth season. Many photos were taken on the night and subsequent promotional appearances. Here are some of the pictures, courtesy of CBC.

Official Season 4 Press Release from UKTV
Thank again to the wonderful guys and gals at UKTV for sending me this official press release for the new season:
Murdoch Mysteries returns to our screens for series 4!
Tuesdays at 9pm (from Tuesday 15th February) on Alibi (Sky 132, Virgin 130)
Based on British-born Canadian author Maureen Jennings’s popular Detective Murdoch series of mystery novels and set in late 1890s Toronto, Murdoch Mysteries is back for a new and exclusive fourth series, once again exploring the intriguing world of Detective William Murdoch (Yannick Bisson), who uses radical techniques for the time to solve some of the city's most gruesome murders.
Murdoch’s small circle of confidantes are pathologist Dr. Julia Ogden (Hélène Joy), a staunch ally who shares the detective’s fascination with forensic science, and Constable George Crabtree (Jonny Harris), Murdoch’s eager but sometimes naïve right-hand man. Although his unconventional approach breeds scepticism and reluctant support from his boss, Inspector Brackenreid (Coronation Street star Thomas Craig), Murdoch is often the only one that can crack the case.
The fourth season will throw some difficult challenges Detective Murdoch’s way. To start, pathologist Dr. Julia Ogden, who departed for a new job at the Children's’ Hospital of Buffalo at the end of season three, may have found a compelling reason to stay in Buffalo.
Her replacement, brought in from London's Scotland Yard – the ill tempered Dr. Llewllyn Francis (Luther star Paul Rhys) – is on course to frequently clash with our even-tempered hero.
In other episodes, under tragic circumstances, an old flame from Bristol, Anna Fulford (Celebrity Masterchef winner and British actress Lisa Faulkner) will return to pay Murdoch a visit; Murdoch's investigations bring him to a wealthy household when the household master is found face down in his morning porridge, British actor, Simon Williams (Upstairs, Downstairs), plays a butler and a member of the poor downstairs staff; Murdoch's like-minded predecessor, Detective Malcolm Lamb (Alias star Victor Garber), returns to the station giving evidence in a brutal murder, as well as some kind words of reassurance to Murdoch, pointing him in the direction of the shocking truth; and in the season finale a wedding will take place…but who will be walking down the aisle?

Mixing real-life history, stunning period detail, intriguing cases and emotional wallop, Murdoch Mysteries continues to push the boundaries of crime television.

Pics from Season 4
Hey all
The exclusive UK screening of the first episode of the new season is Thursday night at the Soho Hotel in London. I would like to say a big congratulations to those who won the tickets to the screening which also includes the chance to meet Tom Craig with a Q&A session with the man himself after the episode has aired.
As someone who has met Tom, I can honestly say that he is a really great guy and if anyone here gets to meet him them I'm sure you will have a great time.
Below are some of the pictures that Alibi have posted on their website for the new series, my particular favourite being the last one with Murdoch as the Mad Hatter, Julia as Alice and Ruby as the White Rabbit as they all attend an Alice in Wonderland themed party.
Also, keep an eye out for the only member of the Bisson family who hasn't yet made an appearance in the series, but rectifies that in season 4:
