Murdoch Mysteries Convention 2012!!!!

I am pleased to bring to your attention the very first Murdoch Mysteries convention to be held on the weekend of 11th & 12 August in Toronto, Canada.

Predominatly arranged by Melissa Lawrence Goetz, this is sure to be a spectacular weekend for 45 lucky Murdoch fans who will get to enjoy a tour of the Murdoch set, the chance to possibly meet cast the crew of the show, not to mention the woman who started it all, Ms Maureen Jennings. Also included is a Champage Reception and Gourmet meal at the beautiful Campbell House.

Tickets are $125 CAD and, if you're in the area, I highly recommend that you get in fast and get your ticket. Further details are below:

New webisodes on CityTV Website

Following on from the hughly popular Curse of the Lost Pharoahs, CityTV has uploaded the first episode of the new mini series The Murdoch Effect. Unlike the previous episodes, this is available to view outside of Canada!!!

Murdoch Books on Kindle

Get the first five books in the Murdoch Mysteries series, written by the wonderful Maureen Jennings, on Kindle!! The final two in the series, Vices of My Blood and Journeyman to Grief are to be released shortly.

If you don't have a Kindle, all books are also available via paperback from Amazon in the UK as well as in Canada and the USA.

Season 5 air date finally confirmed for Canada!

After months of waiting, CityTV have finally confirmed the date that they will begin airing Season 5.

The date for all you lucky Canadians is Wednesday 6th June.

Following the run being completed on CityTV, the season will then be repeated on CBC before the season 6 launch in the new year.

Murdoch Mysteries is new to the channel and I'm sure we shall all forever be grateful that they decided to pick up the show when CityTV decided the drop it after the fifth season. Season 6 Begins Filming!!!

Hi all

Apologies for the lengthy absence....but I'm back.....

Filming began on season 6 yesterday. All cast and crew were on set to begin the new season which I'm sure will be fantastic.

The main man himself posted this picture on his Twitter yesterday:

As you can see, they are filming the sixth episode of the sixth season, which Yannick himself is directing :)

As you probably all know, season 5 of Murdoch Mysteries, currently in production, will be the last.

Obviously, this new hasn't gone down well with fans so a Facebook group has been set up to support the show.

Murdoch Mysteries: Curse of the Pharoahs

As a special treat, CityTv will be airing a series of 13 webisodes on their web page. These are based on a novel that Crabtree writes throughout season 4.

The news we have all been waiting for was finally announced today:

MURDOCH WILL BE BACK FOR A SEASON 5!!!!

But not only that, the series that Maureen Jennings and Murdoch's First Make-Up Artist Debi Drennan, have been working so tirelessly on has finally been confirmed!!!

Sarah Gadon to play Pattinson's wife in Cosmopolis

Sarah Gadon, aka Ruby Ogden, has been cast as Robert Pattinson's wife in the upcoming film, Cosmopolis. The role originally belonged to Marion Cotillard, who stepped down due to pregnancy.

Tom Craig to co-star in new 4 Part BBC Drama

Hey all

Tom Craig is to co-star in a new 4 part drama for the BBC, called Undisclosed. Tom will star with Phillip Glenister, David Suchet and Thekla Reuten in the thriller that revolves around the efforts of Harry Venn (Glenister), a small-time solicitor who is forced to delve into his murky past. 

Its nice to see Tom being credited with Murdoch Mysteries, instead of the usual Where the Heart Is and Coronation Street, for which he is usually known for in the UK.

Filming begins next week in Belfast.
